About the position

The Personal Injury Plaintiffs Paralegal will provide essential support to attorneys in managing personal injury cases. This role involves a variety of tasks including legal research, document preparation, client communication, and trial preparation, all aimed at ensuring effective case management and exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in managing a caseload of personal injury cases from intake to resolution.
• Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law to support case strategy and preparation.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and medical providers to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
• Assist in conducting factual investigations, including gathering evidence, obtaining medical records, and coordinating expert evaluations.
• Prepare trial notebooks, exhibit lists, and witness files for court proceedings.
• File legal documents with courts and administrative agencies in a timely manner, adhering to all procedural requirements.
• Record billable hours accurately and prepare invoices for clients.
• Perform various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining case files, and managing correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards, court rules, and deadlines.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of legal procedures related to personal injury cases.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
