About the position

The Paralegals and Legal Assistants position at IIT involves providing essential support to the Executive Insurance staff in managing daily tasks and large-scale initiatives. The position operates under general guidance, with varied work assignments that require interpretation and independent decision-making regarding the course of action. The candidate will also perform related duties as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet the high standards expected by the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Exec. Insurance staff in managing day to day to-do's as well as large scale initiatives
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate project activities to ensure goals and objectives of multiple and large projects are accomplished within prescribed time-frame
  • Establish workflows and timelines and ensure project deadlines are met
  • Follow up with key stakeholders and ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner
  • Develop project initiation process by defining project scope, determining action items, assigning ownership, creating project timetables, and tracking execution and workflow
  • Prepare, present and distribute project status reports
  • Operate under general guidance and make independent decisions on course of action
  • Perform related duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and customer focus with ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, challenging environment
