As a Paramedic - Cardiac Device Specialist, you will be involved in every aspect of patient care, offering hope, compassion, and healing to patients and their families. This position is integral to our Cardiac Device Clinic, where you will collaborate with physicians and other caregivers to shape the future of cardiac care in Oklahoma. Your responsibilities will include performing in-person and remote interrogations of pacemakers, defibrillators, and implantable loop recorders using device company programmers. You will also be responsible for inputting data into the appropriate systems and preparing reports for physicians and the billing department. This role requires frequent or permanent assignments across the Oklahoma City metro area, and occasional travel outside the metro may be necessary, including the ability to fly in small aircraft or drive long distances to reach rural clinics as needed. In this full-time position, you will work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with your home office located at Mercy Tower in Oklahoma City. You will be expected to schedule appointments, scan reports, and ensure that all patient interactions are handled with the utmost professionalism and care. Your contributions will help set the standard for excellence in patient care at OHH, and you will be empowered to work collaboratively with our team to enhance the patient experience. Responsibilities

  • Perform in-person and remote interrogations of pacemakers, defibrillators, and implantable loop recorders using device company programmers.
  • Input data into the proper systems and prepare reports for the physician and billing department.
  • Occasionally schedule appointments and scan reports.
  • Travel frequently or permanently across the Oklahoma City metro for clinic coverage.
  • Occasionally travel outside of the Oklahoma City metro, including flying in small aircraft or driving long distances to rural clinics.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or previous medical assistant experience required.
  • Graduate of an accredited paramedic or registered nurse program preferred.
  • BLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Licensed paramedic or registered nurse preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience with preference in cardiology or electrophysiology.
  • A minimum of three (3) years clinical experience preferred.
  • Past experience with interrogating and programming Pacemakers or ICD's preferred.
  • Previous experience with cardiac rhythms and implantable cardiac devices preferred.
