About the position
The Paramedic position in the Emergency Services department at East Georgia Regional Medical Center involves assisting with patient care in the emergency department under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. The role includes performing emergency care procedures and maintaining effective communication regarding patient conditions to ensure safe and positive patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care in the emergency department under the direction of the registered nurse (RN).
- Perform emergency care procedures including assisting with Advanced Life Support (ALS) under the direction of the physician.
- Maintain proper channels of communication regarding patient's condition.
- Work in conjunction with RN and MD to provide safe patient care and a positive patient experience.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in Paramedic science.
- 3-5 years current EMT-P experience preferred.
- Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: EMT-P, American Heart Association BLS, PALS, and ACLS.
