About the position

The Paramedic at Dollywood Parks & Resorts plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of both Hosts and Guests. This position is dedicated to providing emergency and non-emergency medical treatment, conducting safety screenings, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Responsibilities

• Provide treatment for injured or ill Hosts and Guests in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Conduct patient assessments to determine their ability to remain on park or at work with medical treatment.
• Operate golf carts, mini-ambulance, and company vehicles for emergency response or transportation.
• Maintain documentation by writing electronic reports according to procedures with accurate wording and spelling.
• Utilize Microsoft Office programs and Origami for report writing.
• Maintain Park and patient confidentiality, following HIPAA and company guidelines.
• Utilize positive verbal communication skills with Hosts, Guests, and outside medical service providers.
• Keep work area clean, stocked, and ready for use at all times.
• Assist in triage and/or park evacuation as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients in a clear and understanding manner.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding all areas of the park for emergency situations.
• Complete annual training with Ride Operations for ride evacuation procedures.
• Interact with Hosts and Guests, greeting them with a smile and offering assistance.
• Conduct drug screens and alcohol tests according to company procedures.
• Assist in maintaining park cleanliness by picking up litter and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current TN State EMT-A or Paramedic license is required.
• Copies of current certifications are required.
• Three (3) years of field experience as an EMT-A and/or Paramedic is preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to use BLS equipment is required.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Basic computer skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Word.

Nice-to-haves
