About the position
The Instructional Aide position is designed to support a third-grade student at the North Ridgeville Academic Center. The role involves working closely with the student in a General Education classroom, assisting with curriculum access and providing behavioral support. This position is essential for fostering an inclusive learning environment and ensuring the student's academic success.
Responsibilities
- Support a third-grade student in accessing the curriculum.
- Provide behavioral support to the student as needed.
- Assist in the General Education classroom during student work days and professional development days.
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for the student.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement educational strategies.
Requirements
- A paraprofessional license (Educational Aide Permit) with an ESEA Qualified endorsement through the Ohio Department of Education is required.
- Employment is contingent upon a BCI & FBI fingerprinting background check.
- Ability to remain free of alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substances in the workplace.
Nice-to-haves
