Responsibilities

• Provide classroom assistance to the district/schoolteacher, supporting the needs of general education or special needs students.
• Reinforce learning concepts presented through lesson plans, either individually or in small groups.
• Grade homework and tests using answer sheets or other methods employed by the school.
• Ensure adequate supervision of students and maintain a safe classroom environment.
• Report student injuries, accidents, or illnesses to the Kelly supervisor and district/school personnel immediately.
• Understand and address the diverse needs of each student, recognizing differences in their abilities and cognitive levels.

Requirements

• Must meet Missouri Department of Education requirements for paraprofessionals.
• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with school district staff and positively relate to students.
• Ability to withstand frequent walking, standing, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
