About the position
Every Special Child is seeking a dedicated and qualified Paraprofessional/Paraeducator/Teacher Assistant to support students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, in various educational settings. The role involves assisting teachers in lesson delivery, classroom management, and student progress tracking, while also empowering students through tailored programs to enhance their academic and social achievements.
Responsibilities
- Provide paraprofessional services, studies, and reports for clients.
- Assist the teacher with conducting lessons and managing the classroom.
- Develop educational materials in collaboration with teachers.
- Track student progress throughout the school year and create reports for parents.
- Empower students through programs designed to enhance their academic and social achievements.
- Utilize computers and specialized AV equipment to support lessons.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of college (48 units) or an A.A. degree (or higher).
- Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction.
Nice-to-haves
