About the position

As a Paratransport Driver at Medi Coach, you will play a crucial role in the transportation of patients in a non-emergency medical setting. This position requires a commitment to providing safe and reliable transportation services to individuals who need assistance getting to and from medical appointments. The starting pay for this role ranges from $20.85 to $21.00 per hour, depending on your experience. You will undergo a comprehensive two-week paid training course that includes certification in various essential areas such as non-emergency transportation, wheelchair and gurney use, behavioral health, and defensive driving. This training will be conducted by a certified EMT, ensuring that you receive high-quality instruction and preparation for your role. Upon completion of the training, you will be required to sign a contract committing to work for a minimum of six months to one year. It is important to note that if you do not fulfill this commitment, you will be responsible for reimbursing the employer for the training costs. The position requires you to have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and a reliable vehicle, although a company vehicle will be provided for job use only. You will also need to pass a clean background check and be able to work a set schedule, which includes one day on the weekend (either Friday or Saturday). The shifts will typically range from 8 to 10 hours, and professional attire is required, consisting of khaki or black pants and a work polo shirt.
