About the position
This position involves performing experienced protective service work, which includes providing the public with information, direction, and first aid, as well as protecting County property. The work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role requires the employee to be adaptable and ready to respond to various situations, including emergencies during natural or man-made disasters.
Responsibilities
- Provide information and direction to the public.
- Administer first aid as needed.
- Protect County property from damage or theft.
- Perform cash handling and reconciliation tasks.
- Conduct data entry and retrieval tasks.
Requirements
- One year of public relations experience in a hospitality, retail, or service-oriented position.
- One year of cash handling and reconciliation experience (cash register or bank teller).
- One year of professional experience in data entry and retrieval.
- Must possess or obtain a valid Florida driver's license prior to employment.
- Must obtain first aid and CPR certifications within six months of employment.
Nice-to-haves
- One year of protective services, security, or law enforcement experience.
