About The Position

The Park Ranger position is a part-time role responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and patrol of Town Parks and related facilities. The incumbent ensures the safety and security of parks and patrons while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves enforcing park regulations, performing minor maintenance, and assisting the public in utilizing park facilities.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited High School or GED.
• At least six (6) months of customer service experience.
• Possession of a valid Class 'E' Florida Driver's License with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) or more years of experience in park operations and maintenance work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrols the park and related facilities to enforce regulations and maintain order.
• Assists the public in the use of park facilities.
• Opens and closes parks and community buildings as necessary.
• Inspects parks and playgrounds for maintenance needs and performs minor repairs or submits work orders.
• Enforces rules and regulations regarding park usage.
• Performs custodial maintenance of park areas and facilities.
• Processes work orders for more complicated maintenance needs.
• Opens reserved park areas for clubs and organizations, ensuring readiness for events.
• Participates in fee collection, accounting, and records maintenance activities.
• Promotes good public relations with citizens using the park.
