About the position

The Parker Leadership Development Program for Quality Manufacturing Engineer Associates is designed to cultivate technical knowledge and professional experience in quality management. This two-year program includes four rotational assignments, each lasting six months, aimed at preparing participants for impactful roles within the organization, such as Quality Managers and various Engineering positions. Participants will engage in ongoing development through training, mentoring, and hands-on experiences, contributing to Parker's strategic quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and develop quality concepts and solutions by applying problem-solving methodologies.
  • Interact with experienced engineers and customers to manage independent projects.
  • Work with the division or location Quality team to support Parker's WIN Strategy objectives.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and improve processes and procedures.
  • Develop skills in supervision, team leadership, and management.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to enhance processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Complete multiple technology courses and training programs.
  • Build broad business acumen while applying effective decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus in Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Graduation before June 2025.
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstration of leadership skills.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Working knowledge of lean concepts and demonstrated application.
  • Relevant experience gained through internship or co-op opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; project management experience preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to relocate.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC).
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies.
