About the position

Empire Transportation is looking for a part-time Auto Shop Parts Clerk to manage parts ordering and data entry tasks. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy in data management. The position offers a flexible schedule with a focus on supporting the auto shop's operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Ordering parts from different vendors
• Supplying staff with requested parts when needed
• Picking up parts when needed / switching vehicles when needed
• Sorting and preparing data and files for entry
• Accurately typing data into databases or spreadsheets
• Managing and archiving files
• Performing hands-on light shop duties (checking oil levels, PSI on tires, etc.)

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Great organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fast typing speed of approximately 45-80 words per minute
• Ability to prioritize and an eye for detail
• Good computer and technical skills, particularly in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid Driver License and authorized to work
