About the position

The Customer Service Representative position at Lee Health is focused on delivering exceptional customer service in a collaborative team environment. This role encompasses various patient business activities, including appointment scheduling, patient check-in, insurance verification, and billing processes. The representative will also manage business services for different accounts as needed, ensuring accurate and efficient operations within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Handle telephones and provide excellent customer service.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage check-ins.
  • Verify insurance information and handle authorizations and pre-certifications.
  • Post charges and manage initial collections.
  • Prepare well-coded and accurate billing and maintain medical records.
  • Manage business services for workers compensation, commercial carriers, employee health, and corporate accounts as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Less than 1 year of clerical/administrative experience required.
  • 1-2 years of prior experience required for Lee Health Solutions.
  • Experience in insurance or customer service preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
