As a Legal Assistant/Secretary, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to the smooth operation of the firm. This includes answering phones and communicating with clients in a friendly and professional manner, which is crucial for maintaining positive client relationships. You will also support lawyers in drafting legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings, particularly in the areas of divorce mediation, wills, real estate closings, and personal injury cases. Strong writing skills are essential for this role, as you will be expected to produce clear and accurate legal documents. In addition to drafting documents, you will utilize Microsoft Office for various administrative tasks and communication within the office. Your clerical duties will include filing, data entry, and managing document management systems, as well as maintaining the attorney's calendar.
