About the position

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Accountant/Accounting Manager to join our team in Pleasanton, CA. This position is a unique opportunity for an individual with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in accounting. The ideal candidate will be dependable, reliable, and trustworthy, with the ability to work independently and effectively manage their time. This role is part-time, requiring approximately 20 hours per week, and offers a competitive pay rate of up to $65 per hour. The start date for this position is as soon as possible, and it is important to note that this is a 100% on-site role. The successful candidate will possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills and be proficient in QuickBooks. A strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Journal Entries (JE), and bank reconciliations is essential. Additionally, a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required, with a CPA designation being a plus. The candidate should have experience with financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers a chance to contribute to our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage general ledger entries.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial compliance and support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks.
  • Strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Journal Entries (JE), and bank reconciliations.
