About the position

The Accounting Coordinator (Accounts Payable) at Hitachi Astemo is responsible for ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers while maintaining accurate records and control reports. This part-time role involves processing payables, communicating with vendors, and preparing financial reports, contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.

Responsibilities

  • Process direct and indirect materials' payables.
  • Communicate with vendors.
  • Set up and maintain vendors' information in Glovia.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders.
  • Prepare check runs twice a month.
  • Conduct monthly analysis of price variances and Accounts Payables aging.
  • Assist quarterly with financial audits and auditors' requests.
  • Prepare journal entries and calculate accruals.
  • Understand manufacturing processes and inventory tracking.
  • Support daily requests.
  • Assist in the organization of the accounting electronic files.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience with data entry and transferring information.
  • Previous experience in Accounts Payables is desired but not required.
  • Strong conflict management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Self-directed and motivated.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice-to-haves

  • ERP experience is desired but not required.
