About the position

The Part-Time Accounts Payable and Office Assistant role at Rivermont Collegiate involves managing the accounts payable process and providing general office support. The position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a positive attitude, who can efficiently handle financial transactions and assist with various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting.
  • Answer phone calls and greet visitors in a professional manner.
  • Assist with data entry and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Support team members with various projects and tasks.
  • Liaise with vendors and internal departments to address inquiries.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or business preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounts payable or office administration is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
