About the position
The Part-Time ACT Math Tutor position at Open Future Prep involves providing one-on-one tutoring to motivated students in the Kansas City area, focusing primarily on ACT test preparation and academic support. Tutors will work out of the Overland Park office and in students' homes, setting their own schedules while prioritizing evening and weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring for ACT test preparation and academic subjects.
- Engage with students to enhance their understanding of math concepts.
- Assess student progress and adapt tutoring methods accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding academic goals and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
- Demonstrated competency in math subjects including Calculus, Trigonometry, and Algebra.
- Strong writing skills and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
