About the position

The Part-Time Admissions Customer Relations Specialist at Bunker Hill Community College serves as the first point of contact for prospective students and their families. This role focuses on engaging students, answering inquiries about the admissions process, and supporting their onboarding experience. The position is hybrid, requiring in-person work two days a week and one day remote, under the guidance of the Associate Director of Admissions and Recruitment.

Responsibilities

  • Advise students on admissions and enrollment process using various communication tools.
  • Assist students with troubleshooting technical difficulties and completing their enrollment application.
  • Respond to email inquiries sent to the Admissions and Recruitment email account and make appropriate referrals.
  • Monitor, track, and provide updates to students on their application status.
  • Post notes on interactions with students in TargetX, Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
  • Participate in enrollment division outreach campaigns to prospective students, applicants, and newly accepted students.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training on student information systems and CRM systems.
  • Attend Admission and Recruitment staff meetings and one-to-one supervisory meetings.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by Enrollment Management administrators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration or closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience involving college admissions, academic advisement, and/or career development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to a positive work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage timelines and details.
  • Thorough understanding of confidentiality of protected information.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate the community college mission through action.
