About the position

The Community Director (Non-Exempt) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a small multifamily property, ensuring that it meets the operational and financial goals set by the client. This role involves managing a team of up to 5 full-time employees, enhancing the property's value, and maintaining positive relationships with residents and clients.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations.
• Maintain positive communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests.
• Develop and manage site team members, including hiring, training, and evaluation.
• Maintain occupancy levels as established by owner/budget expectations.
• Manage the maximum revenue potential of the property through lease expirations and timely turnover.
• Maintain appropriate resident files and ensure confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with Risk Management items and report any incidents promptly.
• Assist residents with maintenance needs and document facility issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD, USDA-Rural Development, etc.).
• Affordable Housing Accreditation (e.g., HCCP, HCP-E, COS, etc.) or other applicable designations.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar leadership role in Residential Property Management.
• High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; college degree preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient in property management-related software (Yardi, RealPage, etc.).
• Experience with customer service and management.
