About the position

The part-time Affordable Housing Leasing Consultant at FPI Management, Inc. serves as the community's sales representative, responsible for engaging with potential and existing residents, conducting property tours, processing rental applications, and securing lease agreements. This role emphasizes compliance with Fair Housing Laws and aims to meet client expectations while maintaining occupancy levels and promoting positive resident relations.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations to meet Client objectives.
  • Maintain positive, professional communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests.
  • Maintain occupancy levels as established by owner/budget expectations and exhibit professional leasing techniques.
  • Assist with the completion of monthly Market Surveys and analysis, and advertising strategies for the apartment community.
  • Promote positive resident/management relations and ensure resident retention programs are in place.
  • Maintain appropriate resident files and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of documents.
  • Ensure compliance with Risk Management items and report any incidents timely.
  • Assist residents with maintenance needs and follow up on requests to promote satisfaction.
  • Enforce community rules and regulations fairly and comply with all Fair Housing Laws.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with affordable housing programs such as LIHTC, HUD programs, USDA-Rural Development, and HOME Funds.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in Residential Property Management.
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, sales, or customer service is also considered.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; college degree preferred but not required.
  • Valid Driver's License and a good driving record with current motor vehicle insurance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with property management-related software.
  • Proficiency in Google Apps and RealPage.
