In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely operation of aircraft at the airport. Your responsibilities will include guiding and directing incoming and outgoing aircraft on the taxiway, loading and unloading passenger baggage and cargo, and operating ground equipment. You will also collaborate with the internal team to ensure a safe and on-time departure, and may be required to clean the interior of the aircraft and service aircraft lavatories. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions, making it a perfect fit for those who enjoy outdoor work and thrive under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Guide and direct incoming and outgoing aircraft on the taxiway to ensure safe and timely gate operations.
• Load, unload, sort, and appropriately transfer passenger baggage, cargo/freight, and company materials, some weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Drive ground equipment such as tugs and belt loaders to assist with aircraft operations.
• Collaborate with the internal team to ensure safe and on-time departures.
• Clean the interior of the aircraft and service aircraft lavatories as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum age: 18
• High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
• Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended state driver's license; some license restrictions may apply
• Ability to work rotating shifts including days, overnights, weekends, holidays, and rotating days off
• Flexibility to work additional hours with short notice when operationally necessary
• Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Willingness to work outside in variable weather conditions
• Enjoy working under deadlines and have an interest in the airline industry
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
