About the position

The Part-Time Art Teacher position at Broome-Tioga BOCES is an exciting opportunity for a New York State-certified Art teacher to engage with students in a virtual learning environment. This role is specifically designed for teaching students in grades 4-6 through our Virtual Learning Academy. The teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing synchronous lessons, which are scheduled for one 45-minute session each week. The lessons will be conducted during the weekdays between 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM, requiring a commitment of approximately 8-10 hours per week. This position allows for flexibility while ensuring that students receive quality art education in a virtual format. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and the ability to create an engaging online learning experience for young learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement synchronous art lessons for grades 4-6.
• Conduct one 45-minute lesson per week during scheduled hours.
• Engage students in a virtual learning environment.
• Prepare lesson materials and resources for online delivery.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback on their work.

Requirements

• NYS Teaching Certification - Art K-12.
