About the position

Drawn2Art is seeking a Part-Time Art Teacher for its Aptos Studio, responsible for teaching fine art drawing and painting to students ranging from ages 4 to adults. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in realism and be proficient in various mediums including graphite, charcoal, pastels, watercolors, and acrylics. The role includes teaching classical techniques and engaging with students in a supportive and creative environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach fine art drawing and painting to students of all ages.
• Utilize various mediums such as graphite, charcoal, pastels, watercolors, and acrylics.
• Instruct students in classical and realistic art techniques including still-life, portraiture, landscapes, and cartooning.
• Prepare and conduct classes during the school year and summer camps.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and expectations.
• Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the learning experience.

Requirements

• Must have a degree or be working towards a degree in fine art drawing and painting.
• Experience in teaching art to children, teens, and adults.
• Ability to demonstrate realistic drawing and painting skills in various mediums.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
