About the position

The Part-Time Assistant Art Teacher at Kidcreate Studio Wilmington is responsible for supporting art education for children aged 18 months to 12 years. This role involves assisting in art classes, managing students, and fostering a creative and fun environment. The position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and have a passion for art, even if they are not professional artists themselves.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead art teacher in conducting art classes and camps.
• Help manage students during art activities and ensure a safe environment.
• Prepare art supplies and set up for classes.
• Drive to various locations within a 15-mile radius to assist with classes.
• Participate in clean-up after classes and activities.

Requirements

• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• Comfortable working with children aged 18 months to 12 years.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, punctual, and creative.
• Available at least 3 days a week and occasionally on weekends.
• Willing to undergo a state background/CORI check.
