The Part Time Assistant IT Support Specialist position at the University of Pennsylvania is a temporary role focused on providing technology support for faculty and staff in a mixed Mac/Windows computing environment. Responsibilities

• Provide support for Macs, PCs, and associated equipment.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot software and hardware.
• Provide technical support to students, faculty, and staff via email, phone, and in person.
• Assist with technical support for conference and classroom technologies.
• Demonstrate best practices with the use of Enterprise Infrastructure including Active Directory and Data Management/Ticketing systems.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively while managing multiple issues over phone, email, and in person.
• Good judgment, tact, discretion, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility and patience in interactions with users of varying levels of computer expertise.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of and significant experience with Windows and MacOS, as well as Android and iOS devices.
• Ability to perform operating system installs and backups.
• Experience with email applications like Apple Mail and Outlook, and spreadsheet and word processing software like Excel and Word.
