About the position

The Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 2 at Hot Topic is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and fostering a collaborative team environment. This role involves driving customer engagement, managing store operations, and developing a high-performing team while ensuring a vibrant in-store experience that aligns with the brand's passion for music and pop culture.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and/or comp sales goals.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative and passionate team.
• Create buzz and customer engagement through promotions and social media.
• Ensure operational soundness by balancing operations, delegation, and customer-first selling practices.
• Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules.
• Communicate collaboratively with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy for hitting sales targets.
• Merchandise the store compellingly, leveraging planograms and launching promotions on time.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead teams to success.
• Experience in operations including payroll, reporting, scheduling, and merchandising.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; a degree is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing retail environment.
