About the position

The Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 2 at BoxLunch & Hot Topic is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and fostering a collaborative team environment. This role involves driving customer engagement, managing store operations, and developing team members while ensuring a positive in-store experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and/or comp sales goals.
• Help recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative team to run the store.
• Create buzz and customer engagement through promotion of new products and social media.
• Provide leadership in running an operationally sound business with a customer-first approach.
• Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules.
• Communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy for hitting sales targets.
• Merchandise the store effectively using planograms and launch promotions on time.
• Develop a high-performing, customer-focused team in partnership with the Store Manager.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; a degree is a plus.
• Strong communication, recruiting, and operational skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle fast-paced retail environments.
