About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager. In this part-time role, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our store, assist in managing daily operations, supervise staff, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations
• Train and develop team members to provide exceptional customer service
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Monitor inventory levels and order merchandise as needed
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training new staff members
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment
• Perform cash handling duties, including operating the cash register
• Assist in implementing marketing strategies to drive sales

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Bilingual skills (multilingual) is a plus
• Knowledge of store management practices is desirable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Training development experience is a plus
