About the position
The Assistant Property Manager with Bookkeeping knowledge will support the Property Manager in managing properties across Contra Costa, Alameda, and Solano counties. This part-time role requires a blend of property management experience and bookkeeping skills, with a focus on maintaining effective communication with tenants and property owners. The position offers flexibility in scheduling and opportunities for personal growth within the property management and real estate industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Property Manager in daily operations of property management.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and manage financial transactions.
- Familiarize with and utilize Appfolio for property management tasks.
- Conduct inspections and manage documentation related to move-ins and move-outs.
- Provide support in maintenance and construction management as needed.
- Communicate effectively with tenants and property owners regarding issues and inquiries.
Requirements
- Property management experience is a must.
- Bookkeeping knowledge is very helpful.
- Proficiency in Appfolio, Microsoft Word, and Excel is required.
- Some maintenance and construction knowledge is needed.
- Valid California driver's license is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Ability to multi-task and follow instructions well.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual skills are helpful.
- Real estate license is beneficial but not mandatory.
