About the position
The Part Time At-Home Chef position involves preparing healthy, balanced meals for a family, including an 18-month-old child. The chef will work closely with the family to create weekly menus that accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions, focusing on gluten-free and dairy-free options. This role is part-time, with a guaranteed 20 hours per week, primarily during weekday lunch hours.
Responsibilities
- Prepare one meal daily (Lunch + Dinner) for the family, including meals for an 18-month-old.
- Create healthy, balanced, gluten-free, and dairy-free menus using whole foods, focusing on olive oil-based cooking.
- Collaborate with the family to develop weekly menus and accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions.
- Be creative in the kitchen, offering meal variety while meeting the family's dietary preferences.
- Ensure the kitchen and meal prep areas are clean and organized after each use.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a private chef or working in a professional kitchen setting.
- Expertise in gluten-free, dairy-free, and whole food meal preparation.
- Ability to prepare meals that appeal to both adults and toddlers.
- Must have a passion for cooking and menu creation.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Nice-to-haves
- Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
