About the position

The Part-Time Audio-Visual Specialist is responsible for ensuring high performance of mission-critical systems and business applications related to audio-visual production. This role involves livestreaming events, troubleshooting A/V equipment, and collaborating with various departments to create engaging video content for digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a high level of performance for mission-critical systems and business applications, including livestreaming onsite and offsite City events, meetings, and functions.
  • Utilize analytical skills, creativity, and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting personal computers, PTZ cameras, audio equipment, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Collaborate with team members and City departments to develop and execute high-quality, engaging videos for digital distribution properties owned by the City.
  • Work across multiple digital mediums focusing on social media and the City website.
  • Monitor user engagement with the City's social channels to uncover opportunities for new content concepts.
  • Engineer, produce, and direct single and multiple camera shoots for live, live-to-tape, and live-streaming productions.
  • Deploy hardware and software upgrades for all A/V systems in coordination with the City Information Technology Team.
  • Provide system troubleshooting and maintain documentation for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in A/V supporting computers, cameras, microphones, lighting, laptops/displays, and other A/V equipment.
  • Experience with MS Windows 10 and Office 365 applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred education or training related to Leightonix, Adobe Creative Cloud, or other design programs, including Canva and Box.
