About the position

The Banking Center Specialist at Country Bank plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and building relationships with clients. This part-time position involves engaging with customers to understand their financial needs, operating cash handling equipment, and managing account services. The specialist is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales goals while adhering to banking regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to build and deepen customer relationships through active listening and engagement.
  • Offer Country Bank solutions and educate customers on products, promotions, and digital services.
  • Meet defined growth and sales goals and achieve acceptable average satisfaction ratings on customer surveys.
  • Take ownership of customer requests and manage the customer experience from end-to-end.
  • Involve referral partners to meet customer requests and resolve or escalate issues as needed.
  • Open various types of new accounts, ensuring proper identification and documentation is collected.
  • Manage account servicing requests such as processing address changes and issuing new ATM/Debit cards.
  • Process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
  • Balance a cash box, cash recycler, and vault daily while maintaining compliance with performance criteria.
  • Participate in role-play and skill-building exercises to improve customer engagement techniques.
  • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with applicable banking laws and regulations.
  • Participate in bank promotions and community events to foster new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service or sales experience required.
  • Experience in the banking and/or finance industry preferred.
  • Experience with cash handling preferred.
  • Must acquire and maintain a Notary Public license and active registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in software troubleshooting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
