About the position

As a Beauty Advisor at Sephora within Kohl's, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales through your authentic passion for beauty. Your primary responsibility will be to engage clients by identifying their needs through a consultative approach, ensuring an excellent overall client experience. You will be expected to maintain expert knowledge of top beauty brands, execute merchandise sets, and support replenishment and visual standards according to Sephora at Kohl's guidelines. This position requires a proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to the dynamic beauty retail environment, where your ability to connect with clients will directly influence sales outcomes. In this role, you will build strong client loyalty by influencing clients through personalized product suggestions that cater to their specific needs. You will demonstrate credibility by showcasing your knowledge of products and current beauty trends, inspiring clients through product demonstrations and application techniques. Continuous engagement in training will be essential to expand your knowledge and stay updated on the latest beauty innovations. You will also be responsible for executing and maintaining all Sephora visual merchandising and operational standards, which includes managing merchandise sets, maintaining tester cleanliness, and ensuring the department meets hygiene standards. Additionally, you will support omni-processing within the department and assist with inventory management from receipt to sale, which encompasses freight processing, back stocking, replenishment, inventory counts, and price changes. Communication with your supervisor regarding any missed or damaged products or fixtures will also be a key part of your responsibilities. All associates are expected to act with integrity and honesty, fostering teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture while adhering to company policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales through an authentic passion for beauty and engage clients by identifying their needs.
  • Build strong client loyalty and influence clients by suggesting products to drive sales, including upselling opportunities.
  • Demonstrate credibility to clients through knowledge of products and beauty trends.
  • Inspire clients through product demonstrations and application techniques to drive sales.
  • Actively engage and complete all required training to expand knowledge.
  • Execute and maintain Sephora visual merchandising and operational standards, including merchandise sets and tester maintenance.
  • Support omni-processing within the department.
  • Assist with inventory management from receipt to sale, including freight processing, back stocking, replenishment, inventory counts, and price changes.
  • Support visual elements of the department and communicate missed or damaged product/fixtures to the supervisor.
  • Act with integrity and honesty, fostering teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture.
  • Exercise good judgment and discernment when making decisions; take appropriate partners as needed.
  • Support and execute safety and shortage reduction programs following company guidelines.
  • Accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
