About the position

As a Beauty Advisor at Sephora within Kohl's, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales through your authentic passion for beauty. Your primary responsibility will be to engage clients by identifying their needs through a consultative approach, ensuring an excellent overall client experience. You will be expected to maintain expert knowledge of top beauty brands, execute merchandise sets, and support replenishment and visual standards according to Sephora at Kohl's standards. This position is not just about selling products; it's about building strong client loyalty and influencing clients by suggesting products that meet their needs, including opportunities to upsell products. In this role, you will demonstrate credibility to clients through your knowledge of products and beauty trends. You will inspire clients by demonstrating products and their application, which is essential for driving sales. Continuous learning is a key aspect of this position, and you will be required to actively engage in and complete all necessary training to expand your knowledge of beauty products and trends. You will also be responsible for executing and maintaining all Sephora visual merchandising and operational standards. This includes managing merchandise sets, maintaining tester products, and ensuring department cleanliness and hygiene standards are met. Additionally, you will support omni-processing within the department and assist with inventory management from receipt to sale, which encompasses freight processing, back stocking, replenishment, inventory counts, and price changes. Communication is vital, and you will need to report any missed or damaged products or fixtures to your supervisor. All associates are expected to act with integrity and honesty, fostering teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture. You will need to exercise good judgment and discernment when making decisions, support safety and shortage reduction programs, and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes while adhering to company policies and procedures. This position requires flexibility, as you will need to be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring that you can meet the needs of the business and our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales through an authentic passion for beauty and engage clients by identifying their needs.

  • Assist with inventory management from receipt to sale, including freight processing and replenishment.
  • Support visual elements of the department and communicate missed or damaged product/fixtures to the supervisor.
  • Act with integrity and honesty, fostering teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture.

Requirements

  • Authentic passion for beauty.
  • Client-facing retail or service industry experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence in a clear and concise manner.
