About the position

The Behavior Technician position at Trellis Services, part of LEARN Behavioral, is an entry-level role focused on providing support to children with autism through applied behavior analysis (ABA). The role involves working with children aged 18 months to 12 years, primarily between the ages of 2-8, in their homes or at Trellis centers. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to help children learn and grow while developing essential skills in a compassionate and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Support children with autism in learning and developing communication, socialization, and self-help skills through play-based therapy.
• Engage in training to gain skills relevant to behavior analysis and related fields.
• Create lasting, positive changes for children and their families.
• Adapt to the physical requirements of specific client assignments, including lifting and moving as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old by the first day of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License are preferred.
• Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule, including mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Studied or have a background in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science, or a related field.
• Experience working with children in roles such as babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, or camp counselor.
