About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team at Wolff Vineyards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This part-time role requires a strong understanding of accounting practices and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all entries.
• Prepare and process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Conduct double entry bookkeeping to ensure all financial data is accurately recorded.
• Utilize financial software for tracking expenses, income, and overall financial performance.
• Prepare reports as needed for management review.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Proficient in accounting principles and practices, including general ledger accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP standards.
• Excellent double entry bookkeeping skills.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliation efficiently.
• Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and balance sheet reconciliation techniques.
• Familiarity with various financial software applications to streamline bookkeeping tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
