About the position

Dentsu Creative, part of the Dentsu Aegis Network, is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Part-Time Brand Ambassadors for an exciting experiential marketing program on the Clemson University campus. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about marketing and eager to gain hands-on experience while promoting a popular subscription service offered by a national retail brand. As a Brand Ambassador, you will play a crucial role in educating the student community about the service and encouraging membership sign-ups. This position is not remote; candidates must be local to the Clemson area and available for on-site events. The Brand Ambassador role involves engaging with consumers and event attendees during live events, effectively communicating the brand's messaging, and fostering a positive relationship with potential customers. You will be responsible for maximizing brand awareness and building consumer trust, which will ultimately lead to increased membership subscriptions. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, confidence in approaching others, and a friendly demeanor. Participation in training sessions is required to familiarize yourself with the service being promoted, and you will also assist with the light setup and breakdown of the promotional area. The program is scheduled to coincide with the campus's “Back to School-Welcome” events, which may include outdoor activities. The events will take place on specific dates in August and September 2024, and candidates must have reliable transportation to attend these events. Additionally, all hired staff members will be required to complete a paid virtual training session prior to the events, ensuring that you are well-prepared to represent the brand effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Educate the student community about the subscription service offered by a national retail brand.

Requirements

  • Must be local to the Clemson area as this is not a remote role.
  • Confident and well-spoken with the ability to approach people easily.
  • Energetic and friendly demeanor, with a fearless attitude towards public engagement.
  • Sales experience and an entrepreneurial, goal-oriented mindset are preferred.
  • Involvement in the student community is ideal.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in marketing or brand promotion.
  • Previous experience as a brand ambassador or in a similar role.
