About the position

Breville, a leader in small appliances, is currently seeking a self-motivated and energetic individual to join our dynamic field team as a Brand Ambassador. This part-time position is ideal for someone who is passionate about the Breville brand and our extensive line of products. The Brand Ambassador will play a crucial role in promoting our products by visiting retail stores, providing in-store demonstrations, attending events, and sharing knowledge with staff through training sessions. The ideal candidate will bring genuine excitement for the brand into various retail environments, effectively communicating the features and benefits of our products to both customers and employees. In this role, you will be expected to work between 10-16 hours per week, primarily on weekends and evenings, following a predetermined schedule to best support accounts within your designated territory. You will maintain a professional appearance and punctuality while adhering to the assigned schedule approved by your manager. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a territory of specific retailers, conducting store visits, and ensuring that Breville products are displayed properly. You will also be responsible for influencing sales based on goals set by your manager and documenting your visits using the Breville customer relationship app on your personal smartphone. As a Brand Ambassador, you will be the eyes, ears, and voice of Breville, engaging with customers in a problem-solving manner and preparing food samples to promote our products. You will need to maintain a clean and safe workstation, adhere to health and safety guidelines, and submit weekly reports to the Regional Field Manager. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with renowned retailers such as William-Sonoma, Sur La Table, Crate and Barrel, Best Buy, Target, Bloomingdales, and Macys, while promoting a brand that values integrity, honesty, and a passion for food.

Responsibilities

  • Work between 10-16 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
  • Follow a predetermined schedule to support accounts within a given territory.
  • Maintain a regular and consistent schedule with punctuality.
  • Maintain a territory of specific retailers in your designated area.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
  • Train independently using digital platforms on an ongoing basis.
  • Visit and support retailers that carry the Breville brand.
  • Influence and create sales based on goals given by the manager.
  • Check in with customer service or manager upon arrival at the store.
  • Ensure products are displayed properly and maintain pricing.
  • Identify and reorder missing display pieces.
  • Conduct store visits, demonstrations, and product knowledge sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with designated stores regarding demonstrations and training.
  • Document visits using the Breville customer relationship app.
  • Engage with customers using a problem-solving approach to sales.
  • Shop for groceries and supplies for demonstrations/events as needed.
  • Prepare and serve food samples using Breville products.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation after demonstrations.
  • Submit weekly reports to the Regional Field Manager.
  • Manage requests for days off with advance notice.
  • Attend events as requested by the manager.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of customer service and/or sales experience.
  • Experience with having KPIs.
  • Goal-oriented and friendly personality.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Daily access to a personal computer and Internet access.
  • Food safety certificate is preferred.
  • Ability to be Food Safe certified after employment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and staff.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and/or carry at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and talk for 5-8 hours a day.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in cooking or as a barista (1 year preferred).
