The Part-Time Bus Driver position at Westfield Senior Housing involves transporting senior residents to various locations such as grocery stores and shopping malls. Responsibilities

• Advise passengers of appropriate behavior to maintain safety.
• Assist passengers with safe loading and unloading during transport.
• Load and unload passengers in wheelchairs/scooters, ensuring proper functioning equipment.
• Operate the bus to transport passengers over scheduled routes safely and timely.
• Monitor passengers during transit to ensure their safety.
• Notify appropriate individuals of any delays in the scheduled route.
• Conduct daily safety and operational inspections of the vehicle.
• Clean the vehicle interior and exterior to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Maintain the bus in a safe and clean operating condition, reporting mechanical repairs as needed.
• Prepare reports conveying information and complying with established guidelines.
• Call 911 if a tenant becomes ill while riding the bus.
• Report any vehicle accidents immediately to the Executive Director.
• Complete forms or incident reports following any incidents and submit within 24 hours.
• Carry out other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• CDL B license required.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• 3-5 years of experience as a bus driver required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge and ability to recognize safety hazards in the bus.
• Experience in commercial driving required.

• Previous experience working with the senior population preferred.
