About the position

The Part-Time Career Pathways Coach at Lane Community College is responsible for recruiting and providing case management for students pursuing vocational educational opportunities. This role involves supporting students facing barriers to education, connecting them with community resources, and facilitating their career development. The coach will work collaboratively with a team to assist students in navigating college resources and achieving their educational and employment goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of workforce participants pursuing vocational educational options.
  • Provide a safe environment for students in crisis or facing difficulties.
  • Support and mentor participants in developing and adjusting individual career and employment plans.
  • Assist students in assessing and addressing barriers to education and employment opportunities.
  • Track and monitor participant progress using a proactive case management approach.
  • Input student and participant data into tracking systems accurately.
  • Prepare regular reports on client progress and maintain client files.

Requirements

  • Two years of post-secondary education in psychology, counseling, social work, education, human resources, or a related field.
  • Three years of related experience in a similar role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with unhoused, unemployed, low-income, veterans, ex-offenders, and first-generation students.
  • Experience as a case manager and working with workforce systems.
