About the position

Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Career Success Coach to join our team in North Branch, NJ. The Career Coach will play a vital role in supporting the mission, vision, and strategic goals of the department by providing essential career guidance to students. This position is designed for individuals who are committed to helping students navigate their career development journey and achieve their professional aspirations. As a Career Coach, you will assist students in various critical skill areas, including resume and cover letter writing, interviewing techniques, LinkedIn profile optimization, social capital development, workplace professionalism, understanding industry expectations, and personal branding. Your primary responsibility will be to equip students with the necessary tools and knowledge to make informed career plans and reach their career goals. This involves facilitating students' awareness of their work-related strengths, skills, interests, and values, and guiding them in aligning these with potential career paths. The Career Coach will also be responsible for conducting workshops, one-on-one coaching sessions, and providing resources that enhance students' employability. You will collaborate with faculty, staff, and industry partners to create a supportive environment that fosters student success and prepares them for the workforce. This role requires a proactive approach to student engagement and a commitment to continuous improvement in career services offered at RVCC.

Responsibilities

• Provide career guidance and coaching to students in various skill areas.
