About the position
The Part-Time Caregiver position at Always Best Care Senior Services involves providing compassionate, non-medical care to seniors in their homes. Caregivers will work flexible morning shifts, assisting clients with daily activities and personal care while adhering to health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Medication reminders
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
- Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own, including preparing meals
- Report any unusual incidents to the care coordinator
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Follow the care plan
Requirements
- Previous caregiver experience of 2+ years
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Must be respectful and compassionate with good bedside manners
- Outstanding communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Driver's license
- Physical endurance to complete required tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work in the USA
- Must be very reliable
