About the position
The part-time caregiver position involves providing compassionate care to elderly clients, focusing on personal care, meal preparation, and companionship. The caregiver will work closely with clients and their families to ensure their well-being and fulfill the mission of Joyful Hearts Homecare. The role is primarily based in Lake Elmo, MN, with shifts available Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families to provide the best care possible.
- Demonstrate a joyful and compassionate spirit while representing Joyful Hearts Homecare.
- Ensure clients and their families feel cared for and supported.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client or family inquiries.
- Provide timely updates to family members and managers about the client's status when requested.
- Interact respectfully and understandingly with clients and their families.
- Build reliable, long-lasting relationships with clients and their families.
- Complete various services for clients, including companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, memory care, and personal care.
Requirements
- Experience in senior care, particularly with Alzheimer's and/or Dementia is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Fluency in English is required.
