As a Part Time CDL Delivery Driver at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the timely and safe delivery of merchandise. Your primary responsibility will be to execute Lowe's customer service policies and procedures, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and helpful. You will actively seek out customers to understand their needs, assisting them in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise. Your ability to listen and respond knowledgeably to customer inquiries will be essential, as you guide them through their projects and demonstrate sincere appreciation for their business. In addition to customer service, you will be responsible for planning delivery activities, printing loading tickets, and delivering merchandise according to schedule. This includes pulling merchandise, building and banding delivery loads, and loading trucks in compliance with payload regulations. You will inspect the condition of products before loading and ensure that all items match the invoice accurately. Safety is paramount in this role; you will ensure that loads are secure and compliant with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and you will conduct daily vehicle inspections to maintain cleanliness and functionality of delivery vehicles. Your role will also involve unloading, installing, and testing appliances upon delivery, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will be expected to adhere to all safety requirements relevant to your duties, including the use of safety devices and conducting daily safety reviews. Additionally, you will operate various store equipment as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the delivery process. This position may also require you to perform other duties as assigned, making flexibility and adaptability key traits for success in this role.
