About the position

The Part-Time CFO will provide strategic financial leadership and oversight for the company, ensuring alignment with long-term growth objectives. This role involves financial analysis, reporting, and managing relationships with external stakeholders, while also leading the finance team and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's long-term growth objectives
  • Work collaboratively with the CEO and the executive team to ensure financial goals are in sync with the business strategy
  • Provide financial analysis, including variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management in a detailed and accurate manner
  • Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and metrics to senior leadership and the Board of Directors using data visualization tools
  • Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other external stakeholders to secure funding and ensure favorable terms
  • Lead negotiations for debt financing, capital investments, and other financial instruments
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management activities in compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Leverage financial data to identify key business trends, performance metrics, and growth opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, internal controls, and financial reporting standards
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market risks, operational risks, and credit risks.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid professional certification in the field of finance or accounting such as CPA, CFA, or similar.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably as a CFO or equivalent.
  • Proven expertise in financial analysis and interpretation of financial data.
  • Proficiency in creating, interpreting, and presenting charts and graphs to visualize financial data.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a capacity to build, lead, and motivate teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution, including the development and implementation of financial management strategies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance related to finance and accounting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and high level of integrity.
