About the position
The Part Time Children's Instructor role at Mad Science involves leading interactive science lessons for children from Pre-K to 6th grade. This position is designed for individuals who are flexible, creative, and passionate about teaching and science. The job offers a non-traditional schedule, allowing instructors to work between 2 to 5 days a week, primarily in the afternoons.
Responsibilities
- Drive to various locations such as schools, daycares, or parks to conduct science lessons.
- Lead immersive and interactive science workshops, day camps, and week-long camps for children.
- Participate in paid training to prepare for teaching responsibilities.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- A passion for teaching and working with children.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Ownership of a car for transportation to various teaching locations.
