About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Shafer Facility Solutions LLC. This part-time position involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, including commercial, industrial, and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role is essential for ensuring a clean and safe environment for our clients as we expand our services.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in commercial and residential spaces to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Execute floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing surfaces.
- Conduct custodial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms and common areas.
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain equipment and supplies for cleaning operations, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Support facilities maintenance efforts by performing minor repairs or upkeep tasks when required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning assignments are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types is advantageous.
- Familiarity with residential painting or general maintenance tasks is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing improvement or additional cleaning.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be physically capable of performing cleaning duties which may include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
