About the position

The Part-Time Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) position at Actalent involves supporting an ongoing Ophthalmology clinical trial. The role is designed for candidates seeking part-time work, requiring 8 hours per week, primarily onsite. The CRC will be responsible for various tasks related to clinical research, including participant screening, data management, and regulatory support, while working independently as one of the main coordinators for the study.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of patient medical records.
• Perform phone screenings or prescreen participants for eligibility.
• Obtain informed consent from trial participants.
• Collect study data and enter it into electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
• Address and resolve data queries promptly.
• Obtain necessary medical records for the study.
• Create and maintain source documents.
• Assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals and provide regulatory support.
• Keep study binders organized and up-to-date.
• Conduct follow-up with study subjects to ensure retention.
• Arrange in-patient visits and follow-up appointments, and send reminders.
• Assist with any other study-related efforts as deemed necessary by the site.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator.
• Specific experience in Ophthalmology clinical trials preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
